Gravitating towards building model airplanes and drawing as a child, Michael found architecture to be the right fusion of artistry and technical problem solving. He is particularly interested in creating socially-conscious work and counts a pro-bono project designing the New Life Orphanage in India as one of his favorites. Up next, his eye is on future projects in Nepal and Cambodia through Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village.
When away from the desk, Michael will likely be found outdoors. Magnetically drawn to mountains, he logs as many hours on Mount Hood as he can, dividing his time between skiing, hiking, and mountaineering. Other adventures come in the form of world travels, with a recent camper van roadtrip spanning the length New Zealand contributing to the goal of planting his feet on all seven continents.
